“Thursday was our practice day at Mugello to begin setup and dial in the bike for this track. My RMU MOTO VR46 RA team and other CIV teams were at Mugello the weekend before this testing. Much of the field and my teammates came into the weekend with a good setup from last weekend and were immediately fast from their first lap. After some changes I felt good on the bike and my lap times improved with every practice session.

Friday was Q1. At the end of qualifying I was in P8. Saturday in Q2 I dropped one spot to P9 and wasn’t able to improve enough to move up on the starting line.

Race 1 – P9
After a good start I pushed hard and hoped to stay with a pack for a solid result. I just didn’t have the pace to stay with them and I pushed as hard I could. I have gone faster at Mugello last year but this race the lap times just didn’t drop to where I thought they should be.

Race 2 – DNF, Low side crash
I had another good start and was running better but once again my pace wasn’t where it needed to be. I was losing a lot of time in turn 15 and on, I think it was lap 8, I tried to brake a little later and ended up going into turn 15 too hot and lost the front out of P7.

I will train as hard as I can to be faster at next round at Misano July 29-30th!

Thank you very much for everyone’s support and to all our sponsors!
